Goin’ for the high score, I see.
You may have heard of the ongoing legal troubles Fantastic Beasts and The Flash star Ezra Miller has been going through. In late March, Miller was arrested twice, once for disorderly conduct at a bar in Hawaii; allegedly, Miller began screaming at a woman as she took the stage to perform karaoke. Miller was arrested again after breaking and entering a couple’s home, threatening them and apparently stealing some smaller articles. The restraining order the couple requested against Miller was dropped by a judge, though the case itself is ongoing.
Miller has once again managed to get into the news for criminal misconduct, this time earning an arrest for second-degree assault on Tuesday. Allegedly, at a late night event in the lower Puna district, Miller became agitated after being asked to leave. The actor allegedly threw a chair, which hit a 26-year-old woman in the head, leaving her with a half-inch cut in her forehead. Police arrested Miller 20 minutes later in the same area at a traffic stop.
Miller was released from police custody around 4 a.m., after the police spoke with a local prosecutor. The woman hit by the chair refused medical attention.
Miller was also once ejected from a bar in Reykjavik, Iceland after being filmed coking a woman and slamming her to the ground, presumably in the same bar.
If I may interject, it strikes me as odd that Warner has been so reticent to cut Miller loose. They jettisoned Johnny Depp full force over the messy legal proceedings following his divorce from Amber Heard. Yet Miller’s been in the news 4 times over the same period, and yet it wasn’t until the second incident in March that Warner higher ups met to discuss what was to be done about Miller.
