We now know the title of the next chapter in the Skywalker saga: STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI. The news was revealed this morning via StarWars.com.

THE LAST JEDI is written and directed by Rian Johnson with executive producers J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski. The film is the 8th in the core Star Wars series.

STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI has a planned release date of December 15, 2017.
