Elliot Page is set to executive produce a television adaptation of the acclaimed video game Beyond: Two Souls, according to a report by Deadline.
In Beyond: Two Souls, Page played Jodie, a young woman mysteriously connected to Aiden, a disembodied entity with supernatural abilities. Their bond granted Jodie extraordinary powers but also isolated her, making it difficult to form relationships with others. The game captivated players at the time of its release, and the TV adaptation aims to capture that same magic.
“Filming the game was one of the most challenging and fulfilling acting experiences of my career,” Page said. “The story’s rich narrative and emotional depth offer us a fantastic foundation. We want to create a unique vision of the characters and their journeys that resonates with fans and newcomers.”
The series will follow Jodie’s journey from being a reluctant participant in a government experiment to becoming a fugitive on the run, all while unraveling the mysteries of her abilities and her connection to Aiden. The adaptation plans to embrace the game’s non-linear structure, offering a fresh yet faithful take on the story.
As of now, the project has not been attached to a network or streaming service, and no creative team has been announced. Fans of the game are eagerly awaiting more details, as the adaptation promises to bring the haunting and emotional world of Beyond: Two Souls to life in a new medium. Stay tuned for updates as the project develops.
