There’s got to be some sort of rocketry joke there…
When last we spoke of Rocket Arena, it was a free-to-play game from a small studio. Apparently, they made a good showing at E3 2019, because the game is now under EA’s aegis now. And it launched two weeks ago.
And now, two weeks later, it’s selling, at a discount, for one sixth of its launch price of $30. That’s right, you can get the game for all of $5. And the Mythic Edition, normally $40, is now going for $10.
As for why, well… I don’t know. Summer sales? A need to move units to make a spreadsheet look good? Whatever it is, it’s honestly not a great look for the game itself.
Regardless, you can find the base edition of Rocket Arena for $5 at the PlayStation Store ($5.09) and Origin ($5). Meanwhile, the Mythic Edition, which tosses in the expected skins and other such goodies, can be had for $10 at PlayStation Store, Origin, Amazon, and Best Buy (both for Xbox One and PS4).
