Earth Liberation devs have prepared an unusual gift for every player – a free audiobook written by an award-winning sci-fi writer.
Launched in Steam’s Early Access ‘Earth Liberation’, a modern RTS that captures the spirit of the classics of the golden era of PC gaming, has received its first update in the form of an unusal and free DLC.
The developers have prepared an audiobook set in the game’s universe, which is free for download to anyone who owns (or will purchase) the game. The audiobook is a fun expansion to the game’s plot and enriches the experience.
Earth Liberation: The Novel – Part 1 reveals the frightening depth of the in-game conflict by taking you back through the Earth’s history. To the times called “primal” by modern scientists. The price for such blindness was our planet.
90% of the DLC I see is a joke only there to make a few extra bucks for content that probably should have been on the disc, so the idea of something different like an audiobook is pretty cool.
I’m all for story building and expanding a universe that people enjoy seems like a smart move. I haven’t played Earth Liberation, but this move will have me checking out the game.
