No need for con rot.

So 2020 kicked the ass of lots of things. But, notably, E3 got canned super hard. But this year, it’s going exclusively digital.

Running from June 12 to the 15th, online, the ESA has confirmed that Nintendo, Xbox, Capcom, Konami, Ubisoft, Take-Two Interactive, Warner Bros. Games and Koch Media will be in attendance.

“For more than two decades, E3 has been the premier venue to showcase the best that the video game industry has to offer, while uniting the world through games,” said Stanley Pierre-Louis, President & CEO of the ESA. “We are evolving this year’s E3 into a more inclusive event, but will still look to excite the fans with major reveals and insider opportunities that make this event the indispensable center stage for video games.”

Notably absent from that list is Sony, however. That said, these are just a list of confirmed attendees that have made “early commitments” to appear. At the same time, it might not be unusual if they don’t appear; last year saw Sony announce that they wouldn’t be at the 2020 show some time before it was cancelled due to pandemic-related concerns.

Regardless, this years show will be a four-day video stream, alongside the expected press conferences, promising all the access you normally would have (you know, aside from the hands-on time, no touchy touchy over the internet).

As an added bonus, this year’s event is free to experience! You can grab a window into the outside word… of the inside word of video games… to abate the cabin fever. Yeah, I don’t know where I was going with that one.
