Dragon’s Lair Film Adaptation Headed To Netflix

Dragon's Lair

It won’t even cost you $50 in quarters to enjoy it!

Don Bluth’s infamous arcade game, Dragon’s Lair, is finally getting a film adaptation. Granted, it will be live action rather than animated, but still, it’s been a long time coming.

The live-action film is headed to Netflix, and will star Ryan Reynolds as Dirk the Daring, the game’s dragon slaying knight. Don Bluth himself is on board to produce, alongside Trevor Engelson, Gary Goldman, and Jon Pomeroy. The script is set to be penned by Daniel and Kevin Hageman.

Netflix NX (Netflix’s nerd-oriented Twitter account) announced the adaptation today:

This will be Reynold’s third film for Netflix. Previously, he was in 6 Underground, and is in the upcoming Red Notice alongside Gal Godot and Dwayne Johnson.
