We stay clear of politics here at GAMbIT, unless it pertains directly to something within our industry. Still, this bit of strange news was simply too good to pass up.
It seems that Donald Trump, via his official twitter account, shared what seems to be a supporter made trailer for the candidate. While fans of candidates (that feels weird to type) do this sort of thing on YouTube all the time, getting promoted by a (insert letter here) celebrity doesn’t always happen.
The video is pretty great, but that’s not because of Trump. Instead, it’s due to the fact that the whole thing is simply the fantastic Mass Effect 2 launch trailer with cuts of Donald Trump and company saying things about stuff.
In the end the video itself might actually be a parody of the entire Trump Presidential. But who really knows as its already been proven that Trump will re-tweet anything. Still, with no credit given to whoever created this video many believed, and still do, that this is some sort of official ad.
The original video was quickly pulled from YouTube because that’s a PR nightmare that EA and Bioware want nothing to to with. If you want to check out out you can still view it view Trumps twitter account below:
