Donald Rumsfeld, former Secretary of Defense of the United States is trying out a new role in life, one that isn’t often taken by an 83 year-old; video game designer. It’s the first for a former Secretary of Defense created a game, although I’m sure McNamara would have loved to be on the development team for Fallout.

The game, Churchill Solitaire came about as Rumsfeld played this specialized version while serving as the U.S. ambassador to NATO. During that time he meet a Belgian diplomat who taught him the game, of which he himself played with Churchill. The game’s website states that,

While contemplating moments of war and peace, and traveling to many distant lands, the future two-time Secretary of Defense would play the game many times over the next 40 years.
