Well, it happens.
Danny Boyle (Trainspotting) was all set to direct the next James Bond movie. But now, citing “creative differences”, EON Productions has announced that Boyle has left the project.

While the exact nature of Boyle’s leaving isn’t known, there is one possibility. His Trainspotting screenplay writer John Hodge was working on a script for the film. That is, at the same time as James Bond regulars Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. Previously, Boyle had stated that he wouldn’t move forward on the project if the production company didn’t choose Hodge’s script.
Either way, the production company will have to select a new director, now.
