‘Descent: Underground’ Goes To The Dark Side With “Tenebrae”

Descendent Studios, celebrates the long winter nights with a new update for Descent: Underground. This build for all users includes a new, ominously-lit map called “Dead Moroz”, glowing energy weapons, and more! Codenamed “Tenebrae”, the patch also includes several fixes, balance tweaks, and improvements requested by players.

“We’ve always wanted to capture the dark, menacing flavor of Descent in our missions,” said Descendent CEO Eric “Wingman” Peterson. “As we move more of our focus into developing our single-player campaign, we are taking the time to get this important piece, the lighting, just right.”

This release also adds the first “Trainee” difficulty setting for bots in the map “Valor”, enlarges proximity mines to better block tunnels, improves visibility, and corrects a problem experienced by some Mac users.

The Early Access version of Descent: Underground runs on Windows, Mac, and Linus. It is on sale for 50% off at http://www.descentunderground.com , GOG.com, Steam, and the Humble Store. It is also available at other online resellers.
