Deadshot May Co-Star In New Batman Film

Deadshot

Warner Bros. is moving a mile a minute with regards to getting their DC cinematic universe up and running. Man of Steel was the launching point and Batman v Superman –the second film in the connected universe– is already throwing in all the Justice League in some way shape or form.

The film will be quickly followed up with Suicide Squad, a film that takes many of the universes villains and puts them together as a rag-tag team. The comic that the film is based on has had its ups and downs, but it has always been unique thanks to its point of view.

But now Latino Review is reporting that there is a possibility that Will Smith’s Deadshot –the star of Suicide Squad– may be co-headlining also side Ben Afleck in the upcoming solo (not anymore) Batman film. We know that Smith has signed a multi-picture deal with Warner and that he wants to be involved with the universe, which is weird as Headshot is a minor Batman villain at best. Sure, he could work in a Batman film, but around the gods that DC has, he feels out of his element.

Latino Review claims that Smith,

“…is psyched about being part of a massive superhero cinematic universe. Since he signed on for multiple appearances as Deadshot, the rumble behind the scenes is that he wants to be an ongoing part of Warner’s and DC’s plans. Right now as per my sources IF things pan out Will Smith may join Ben Affleck in his solo Batman movie, which might not end up being so solo. If Deadshot joins the Bat in the movie, it will be for a ‘major role’ for a ‘The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly’ scenario.”
