The Dead Rising series has always been on the goofy side of the zombie mythos. It almost seems like the studio and publisher don’t really have any idea what they are doing with the franchise. On one hand it has all sorts of serious parts and on the other you have a rascal driving, fat lady zombie that lives at the buffet.

Now we are getting a new outfit pack for Dead Rising 4 that includes a bunch of Street Fighter related gear. You can now outfit Frank West as Zangief, Guile, M. Bison and even Cammy if that’s your cup of tea.  These outfits are part of a free update that also includes two new difficulty modes.

The update hits on January 30th, but that’s not all that is on offer. Those that have yet to give Dead Rising 4 a go will be able to download a timed trial on January 31st. This demo includes access to both the campaign and the multiplayer portions of the game. You’ll also be able to load your save file and achievements over if you decide to buy the game.

I’ll probably be giving the game a shot, but I’m more interested in seeing if any speedrunners out there can beat the game within the 60-min limit imposed by the timed demo.
