Counter-Strike: Global Offensive goes Free to Play

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) expands upon the team-based action gameplay that it pioneered when it was launched 19 years ago. I remember spending long nights playing Counter Strike back before there was Steam, and fighting against adopting Steam for its fancy new features.

Fast-forward to today and I have hundreds of game in my Steam library and can’t imagine living without it. Times sure have changed. But time are changing again as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) goes Free-to-Play.

I played a lot of Counter Strike Source but skipped CS:GO because I was playing other games. Still, it was always on my wish-list, always having plans to pick it up. Now I have no excuse and am looking forward to seeing what all this knife-skin crap is all about.

Man, I really missed out on everything. Imagine if I had invested in bitcoin when I had the chance, or missing out on starting a CS:Go lotto site that I don’t tell anyone I own so I can scam kids to live in a mansion. Missed opportunities.

But going free isn’t all CS:Go has to offer. The game also is adding a new Danger Zone mode that is another Battle Royale mode. Look, they might be late to the party but you gotta chance the dollars.
