There is an update coming for Window Phone 8.1 with a familiar face, err, should I say voice. Microsoft is including in this latest update a personal digital assistant to go head-to-head with Apple’s Siri and Google Now. There are a number of sources that spoke to (The Verge) on just how Cortana looks and functions; Yes, those of you in the gaming world know that name very well. Cortana, the A.I. from the popular Microsoft series Halo, will replace the Bing search functionally on Windows Phone 8.1. Don’t expect to have your very own life-size Cortana that projects from your phone (one can dream) as the voice assist tool will come as a blue circular icon that will be animated when it’s doing its thing. Personally, from the image below the icon itself looks less like anything Cortana related and more like the bloody Eye of Sauron.
