Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion are coming in strong with Con Man’s season 2 debut. The Indiegogo financed web comedy delves into the lives of two men caught in the middle of the entertainment industry. The duo have to try to stay relevant after the cancellation of their Firefly-esque show, Spectrum.
Jumping into season 2 we see the duo take a small step away from the fan conventions. Jack (Nathan Fillion) focuses on bringing Spectrum to the big screen while Wray (Alan Tudyk) has doubts about being a part of the movie as he wants to broaden his career and distance himself from sci-fi.
This includes (but is not limited to) Wray trying to audition for the lead in the new hit TV show Doctor Cop Lawyer, a show about a man who is a doctor, a cop, and guess what else? Yup, a lawyer. But despite the attempt to further himself away from the genre we still see Wray in an unsuccessful stunt while wearing an astronaut spacesuit.
From typecasting to narcissistic actors and disappearing girlfriends to disappearing hair, Con Man’s season 2 is still as impressive as its first. Not to mention the plethora of specials guests like Henry Rollins, Riki Lyndome, Liam McIntyre (as a very impressive Hemsworth brother), and Stephen Root will most definitely help draw in even more fans than its first.
Season 2 of Con Man begins streaming today on Comic-Con HQ.
