Aliens: Fireteam Elite has been around for ages, so much so that I forgot it was ever even announced until today’s news. Apparently, in the years of quiet development it added the Elite tag to the game, so I imagine the’ve been working hard. Today’s news not only gives us a new name but an August 24th release date on Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S for budget friendly $40.

Where Alien Isolation, a fantastically tense and slow-paced affair, Aliens: Fireteam Elite is the James Cameron version with lots of guns and guts. Aliens: Fireteam Elite is interesting in that it takes the Left 4 Dead concept and slaps an Aliens skin on top of it. You can check out the new trailer below:
