Classics Digital, a division of PIKO INTERACTIVE, today announced the bolstering of their library of 80’s retro games with the addition of 8 titles from the UK’s ‘80s monster publishing powerhouse OCEAN SOFTWARE.
Here in the United States the publisher is most known for releasing some pretty average games, and I’m being generous there. I know in Europe they are pretty well-loved and the story behind Ocean is a fascinating one for sure.
Looking at the list of games I don’t see a single title that I actually remember, but that isn’t a bad thing. As everything here is new too me, it means eight complete games in a single package. I’m sure our European readers will fill us in on how good the titles actually are.
The nostalgic list of titles releasing on Friday, April 13th 2018 are as follows:
- Tunnel B1
- Last Rites
- ELF
- Sleepwalker
- Pushover
- The Great Escape
- Central Intelligence
- Where Time Stood Still
The entire selection will also be available as a compilation, named Ocean Classics Volume 1
‘Ocean Software made a huge impression on the ‘80s computer gaming scene – we are proud to be able to bring some nostalgia and retro fun back to fans who remember these games fondly, as well as those who want to find out what they were missing’– says Eleazar Galindo, CEO of Piko Interactive.
The games will be discounted by 15% for the week of launch.
