Bigger and better.
Technology does march on. What once would’ve cost a small fortune, now runs you maybe half of that stimulus check. And so, TCL, known for their quality budget friendly TVs, has introduced their new 85-inch line at CES.
The most wallet friendly of the three in the line is the 4-Series 4K set that comes in at $1600; it will also be the first of the three to hit the market in March. The next step up offers a QLED display with Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and HDMI 2.1; the HDMI 2.1 features variable refresh rates, 4K, and 120 Hz. The third, however, is the big daddy. 8K, 10Hz, presumably the features of the midtier as well. These latter two sets have no release date other than “in the month to follow”.
85-inches is a whole lotta screen, and if you’re looking to upgrade your setup, you can probably do far worse at the price point. And it’s also worth noting that TCL’s screens do quite well for gaming, vis a vis refresh rate.
