CBS Ends Under The Dome After 3 Seasons

Under The Dome

Under The Dome, a show that got so bad one of our reviewers was forced to stop watching and leave his final review of it as simply an image of a piece of poop (read… Err, see that review here), has not been renewed for a fourth season.

Under The Dome, the television series based on the far superior Stephen King work will air it’s series finale on September 10 after three season on the air.

The show debuted to huge number back in the summer of 2013 with some 17.8 million viewers watching the shows series premiere on CBS. These were huge numbers and the show set the largest viewing record for a summer drama debut in 21 years.

Unfortunately, the show was in a steady decline ever since, as you can see for yourself by going back and reading our reviews. While strong numbers initially, one wonders if the lack of any original programming over the summer, coupled with the Stephen King named lead to the shows initial success.

At the very least we can hope to get some answers on what the dome was, where it came from, and if the show will reward longtime viewers. Here are my predictions: “No,” “Nope,” and “Don’t kid yourself.”
