But can she shinespark?
Brie Larson’s soon to make her debut in the Marvel Universe in Captain Marvel. But she may have goals in addition to playing a Superhero.
For Halloween, Larson dressed up as Zero Suit Samus; an occasionally used form for the Metroid series protagonist, Samus Aran.

When a fan then asked if the costume was the closes we’d ever get to a Metroid movie, Larson responded:
I hope not. I want to make that movie. https://t.co/6ZneOLu2Wh

Despite Brie Larson’s determination, it may not (or may be, who knows?) in the cards. A Metroid movie has been in development hell for well over a decade. John Woo was once attached to such a project in 2004. That said, given the fact that now Nintendo seems more willing to play ball with these sorts of media projects, it might be a possibility. And Larson would be a pretty good pick (but it probably would’ve been someone else a decade ago).
Either way, Captain Marvel releases February 22, 2019.
