Look, I know a lot of fanboys are going to go cry on their forums and at their local comic shops (do the latter and buy some books), but let’s face it kids; it’s about time you understood that this is the Marvel Cinematic Universe and not the comic book one. I mean, if we stuck to the comic books then we’d be left with a Captain America film where he turns into a werewolf. Civil War is a great idea, but without all heroes under the banner of Marvel Studios (the X-Men and Fantastic Four play a big part) it wasn’t going to happen. I’ll also make the claim that the original comics run of Civil War wasn’t all that great.
The trailer for Captain America: Civil War has just dropped and with it comes a lot of changes to the original story, but let’s face it, you all already knew that. What we get is a story focused on Captain America and Bucky Barnes and a sort of registration act for heroes (you know, like the one for mutants, so it really doesn’t make sense when you think about it) and the heroes taking sides. The Captain America films have always been for espionage thriller than all out actin flick, and I really hope they keep with that vibe. We also get our first look at Black Panther in full garb.
