Call of Duty is returning to WWII, which can only mean one thing: it’s time to get another live-action trailer that always comes off forced and makes gamers look like strange people. This time around we follow a team as they gather their friends for the most epic battle yet. The last CoD was the most epic battle yet, but, you know, this one is two more times as epic. The trailer also features “Figure It Out” by Royal Blood, if that’s your cup of tea.
To be honest, I’m still pretty interested in Call of Duty WWII even if the beta left a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths. I skipped it because I don’t want to feel like an unpaid intern working on a game when they have actual beta testers for that. Fingers crossed they can work out all the bugs and sort out the whole authenticity thing people have been nailing them on.
It’s a bit strange that the trailers feature no gameplay footage, and I don’t remember having a “squad” in the original Call of Duty as it was mainly a singleplayer experience, but that was a long time ago so I could be wrong. I thought multiplayer focused CoD came later down the road. At the very least it’s really neat that each region the game is coming out in gets their own live-action trailer. You can see the UK one above, and the rest below.
Dear lord, I hope they didn’t make a German one…
