InkyPen app will let you read comics on you Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch is a fun little device that still has a lot of potential to grow into more than what it is. A new app shows how this is the case as you’ll soon be able to read your digital comics on the portable device. InkyPen will launch this November and with a subscription will let you read all those comics on the go.

Sure, it stinks that you have you pay and can’t upload books or use an existing service like Comixology, but for those wanting to read on the go it might be for you. For $7.99 a month you get access to the InkyPen catalog that includes titles from IDW, Dynamite, Valiant and a few others.

If you are wondering where the big two of Marvel and DC are, your guess is as good as mine. Those publishers have their own services or deals with other subscription services but it’s a shame we won’t be seeing the heavy hitters. Still, if you are into indie titles that afford their creators more freedom there is still a lot to be had here.

Chances are you already take your Nintendo Switch on the go or spend a lot of time with it in hand-held mode, so being able to switch over to reading some comics between games might interest a few people.
