Boss Key Productions’ Next Game is Radical Heights, A Battle Royale Game

Radical Heights

Why wouldn’t it be?

Lawbreakers was… a thing, but Boss Key Productions didn’t let it hold them back. They’ve decided to move on to the flavor of the month a totally new game: Radical Heights. And it visually lives up to the name.

The good news is that Radical Heights will be free to play. The game also hits Steam Early Access tomorrow. Which, aside from poor timing, is also probably good.

And the game’s aesthetic is doing it for me. Glitzed out 80’s stuff is why I’ll continue to mourn the loss of Moonbeam City. Radical Heights is less Patrick Nagel and more Running Man or Smash TV. And they’re definitely leaning into the cheesy 80’s game show theme. Not just aesthetically, but with vehicles and weapons.

In a statement, Boss Key Productions Creative Director Zach Lowery said:

This is a five month passion project for the studio as we’re creating and publishing the game entirely by ourselves. We’re huge fans of Battle Royale games along with the bright, inviting irreverence of the 80’s aesthetic. Because of that, we want to put our own spin on the genre and create a futuristic 80’s world that takes place in 2023 during an over-the-top game show where contestants battle it out for fame and prizes.

Wait wait wait.
