Keeping the proud tradition of biotech working on robots alive.
Overwatch has been in need of a new support hero for a while. Support’s the least represented class on the roster after all. And Talon geneticist Moira fits the bill.
Despite the way some assumed she’d play by the trailer, Moira is balanced. Her biotic energy used for healing is charged by dealing damage. So while she’s a powerful healer, she has a built in need to contribute to the fight. She can also launch her healing/damage in sphere form, creating a small area of effect at a distance. She can also teleport short distances. And her ultimate combines the effects of her weapon in a long range beam.
Aside from a new hero, BlizzCon also saw the announcement of a new map: Blizzard World. The new hybrid map is a Blizzard Theme Park, used for both Assault and Payload game modes. It will go live next year, but the PTR will be seeing it much sooner.
Also, there is a new Overwatch animated short up now: Honor & Glory. Everyone who bet on Reinhardt just won. Also, It’s hard not to see that subtle little jab at Reinhards that immediately charge the first enemy instead of tanking for their team.
