It’s a “who would win” sort of thing.
Quite frequently, we forget that there are often a number of stunt doubles involved in any action film. And not just for the sorts of stunts you think of, like being on fire or dropping off a building, but fights as well. Studios don’t like their hero actors getting hurt, because it eats away at shooting time, which in turn eats away at the margins.
But that’s aside the point. On her Instagram, Lauren Mary Kim (Elektra’s fight double on Marvel’s Dardevil and Defenders) asked who people thought would win in a fight; Elektra, or Black Widow. This, in turn, led to a fight sequence Kim put up on her Instagram of her and Amy Johnston (one of the many doubles for Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow) showing off their skill:
They’re able to go all out here, because they’re not doubling for someone else, which means none of the usual face obscuring shots you’re used to in fight scenes. And seeing it play out like that really makes you realize how much skill it takes, not just to make the fight look good, but to also avoid getting hurt. That video, right there, is years and years of martial arts practice. And its damn cool to see it in action.
