Bitcoin Drops Below $10,000

Bitcoin

How are you so flush, man?

Look, I’ll be the first to admit that me and the cryptocurrency thing don’t really mix. But hey, I still get stuck with it. Which means we all suffer. So, Bitcoin.

For the first time since last month, Bitcoin saw its value drop below $10,000. There are two camps of thought as far as this is concerned:

1.) The pro cryptocurrency side, which states that this sort of drop pretty much happens predictably and yearly. And also just happens to, during such drops, direct people to the suicide prevention hotline. I know I’m probably going to Hell for laughing at that, but..

2.) The side the realizes that a currency you can barely spend that fluctuates this wildly is not exactly a currency that’s particularly useful, regardless of whether or not you can ride the wave and speculate. Which is pretty much the only thing other than black market shit you can actually do with cryptocurrency.

You can regularly watch both of these camps war it out in comment sections. As to why the drop happened, well, that’s really anyone’s guess. Could be looming regulations in Germany, incoming laws in South Korea, SEC involvement on the rise, anything. Welp, I’ve run the whole Bitcoin course to it’s end again.
