The better question is, why?
Bethesda’s had a real time of it recently. You’ve got the fallout from Fallout 76, an author you’ve probably never heard of suing them over the name Redfall, and their Elder Scrolls celebratory freebie almost winding up unattainable.
But this time, they’re going to get it right… I think. Because to promote Rage 2, they’re giving away a Rage 2-themed Sega Dreamcast. Except it’s not a Sega Dreamcast, it’s a gaming PC in a Sega Dreamcast case.
If you’re asking why, then you’re as confused as I am. But it does seem to be the real fake deal. No tarps are in sight. Though I’m reserving the right to laugh if the winner gets it and it turns out to be a Sega Master System with a Y2K compliant PC jammed inside. That said, it seems to be able to run Rage 2, so it’s got to be a reasonably decent PC, right? It also carries a projected retail value of $590.
