The awesome-sounding Mechanic sequel adds some serious star power

Did you guys see The Mechanic? So awesome. I didn’t even know they were making a sequel, but the news coming in is pretty exciting.

Mechanic: Resurrection (I’m just gonna ignore that tile) will be directed by Dennis Gansel (We Are the Night), and in addition to Jason Statham, returning as Arthur Bishop, it will also star Jessica Alba, Michelle Yeoh, and Tommy Lee fuckin Jones. Here’s the plot synopsis (which, like the rest of this news, comes courtesy of Ain’t It Cool):

When someone from his past forces him back into the business, Bishop has to complete an impossible list of assassinations of the most dangerous men in the world.

So it’s an R-rated No More Heroes with Statham as Travis Touchdown? One, please! Oh, I have to buy a separate ticket for my massive erection? Two, please.

MECHANIC: RESURRECTION will open on January 22, 2016 in wide release, from Summit Entertainment.

Cast: Jason Statham, Jessica Alba, Tommy Lee Jones, Michelle Yeoh
Director: Dennis Gansel
Producers: Avi Lerner, William Chartoff, David Winkler, Frank DeMartini
Production Company: Millennium Films
