This is good news for people who want Arrow to be totally bonkers, because the show has just cast the character of Tatsu Yamashiro, aka Katana, who The AV Club describes thusly:
In the comics, [her] husband gets murdered and his soul lives on in her samurai sword, but we’re not sure if that will actually happen on the show. Arrow has kept things reasonably grounded up until now, but with the Flash spinoff on the horizon, it’s only a matter of time before wacky stuff like a soul-capturing sword starts slipping in.
Oh yeah, sign me right up for that, that sounds crazy as shit. Anyway, Katana will be played by Devon Aoki, who landed the role despite appearing in nothing since 2009’s Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Undead, which I haven’t seen but is definitely a piece of shit.
Arrow is really going for the deep cuts with their rogues gallery, aren’t they? We’ll let you know when they cast…I don’t know, I don’t wanna do the research necessary to finish this joke.
