Aretha Franklin granted injunction against Telluride Film Festival

Aretha Franklin

Breaking news live from the Telluride Film Festival.

Our sources are reporting that Aretha Franklin was granted an injunction against the Telluride Film Festival to stop the premiere exhibition of concert film AMAZING GRACE

What’s going around town is that Franklin never granted rights for exhibition of the concert footage. Also, another rumor is that Julie Huntsinger, is trying to dodge the process servers.

Julie Huntsinger is the executive director of Telluride Film Festival.

UPDATE:

More issues abound at this years Telluride Film Festival.

Our on site sources are saying that Julie Huntsinger is staying out of sight because the volunteer staff is pissed at her- the festical made an executive decision to remove the meals provided for the volunteer staff this year (after having always fed the vols every year the festival has existed) to save money.

They didn’t tell anyone this, and sent out a vague email to less than half the staff that didn’t clearly state what they were doing and provided bogus excuses as to why they did this. Then they announced that the paid staff at the festival who received recommendation for their travel and lodging were the only ones getting free food.

The unpaid staff who received no compensation are the only ones expected to pay for the expensive food in town. Huntsinger cried when she introduced herself this year and hastily exited at the all-staff meeting.
