Battlerite is coming to console! On Wednesday June 14, Microsoft together with Stunlock Studios revealed that the popular arena brawler, Battlerite, will be released on both Xbox One and Windows 10 in 2018. Battlerite will be available on Xbox Play Anywhere which will allow players to play on both platforms at no additional cost.
Battlerite takes inspiration from games like WoW Arena, Overwatch and League Of Legends while offering its own unique mix of top-down action and intense team fights. Join forces with up to two other friends and fight together to defeat the enemy team. Engage in adrenaline-fueled PvP battles that will enthrall your competitive side.
“We’re super excited to release our first console title on Xbox One! Battlerite will usher a new era of arena brawlers for the competitive console fans, offering an amazing multiplayer experience. We’ve been playing the game while in early access over on Steam for a good chunk of time now and have really loved what the game offers up. It’s a blast to knock out a bunch of quick matches with the wild cast of characters the game features.
The game is simple enough that moving it to a console makes sense, and we even talked about it several times during our streams of the game over on Twitch. In fact, the idea of playing Battlerite with a controller instead of a keyboard/mouse combo has me intrigued, as it might actually work better that way.
