Amazon is now selling cars through their online store

Amazon, in its continuing bid to take over the world, has launched a new feature on its website that will allow users to buy their next car. That’s right, in-between buying that case of rubber cement and  case of tube steaks you can pick up a sweet new ride.

Now, before you get really drunk and order a Ferrari with Prime, be aware that the service is only available in Italy. It also looks as if there is some finalization thing that needs to happen at a dealership which makes sense.  Laos, it’s only for Fiat’s, so there’s that…

Reuters has the details  explaining how it will all works:

So, after making their clicks online, buyers will be contacted by Amazon to decide on a dealer where they can finalize their purchase and pick up the car. The vehicle should be ready within two weeks of the initial click.

This service is Italy only at the moment, but you can expect the service to hit the US market sometime in the future as Amazon continues to expand. The company already has a automotive section that launched here earlier in the year that lets you do everything but by a full car.

Those drunk shopping sprees are about to get quite expensive now!
