Amazon doesn’t often end up on the losing end, but with its recent venture into the world of smartphones it has. But don’t worry about Amazon because their loss is your gain! You can now purchase their much touted (and little bought) Amazon Fire Phone for $199, and it comes without a contract and is completely unlocked.
Sure, the Fire Phone was more of a gimmick with its 3D and such, but if you are just looking for a cheap smartphone that has integrated access with everything that is Amazon, then for this price you really can’t go wrong. Not only that, but it comes with a free year of Amazon Prime which runs for $99 on its on. That mean lots of streaming video and audio options, as well free two-day shipping of lots of stuff on Amazon.
It’s not a bad deal for the price and you can always look to upgraded to something fancier and more robust after your year of prime is up since you’ve only spent $199. I’d easily recommend the Fire Phone is you are looking to grab a smartphone or two for the kids, if aren’t looking for the latest and greatest in a phone, or just can’t justify spending a lot on something else and getting locked into a two-year contract.
Essentially you are grabbing this phone for a cool $99 (if you take into account Amazon Prime), and with a robust 32GB of storage space, you really can’t beat it.
