Activision (for unknown reasons) has postponed, and quite possibly cancelled the completed Xbox One version of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game. No word on the reasoning for this sudden announcement, but we are keeping our ears open.

A statement from Activision reads:

“We want to inform you that we are revising our release plans for ASM2 on Xbox One, when and whether ASM2 is released on Xbox One is [to be determined].”

IGN was provided a statement about The Amazing Spider-Man 2 for Xbox One.

“We are working with Microsoft in an effort to release The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game on Xbox One. Currently, the game will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and the PC on April 29, 2014 as previously announced.”
