Aladdin And The Lion King Game Collection Hitting All Major Consoles

Aladdin and The Lion King

It starts.

There were rumors floating around yesterday, but it’s been confirmed: an Aladdin and The Lion King game collection is coming. Titled Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King, the collection is headed to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Steam this Fall.

And, as you’d expect, they’re throwing in everything and the kitchen sink. For $30, you get every version of these games (except the SNES Aladdin since it was made by Capcom; a shame they couldn’t iron that one out); SNES, Genesis, Game Boy and Super Game Boy.

You also get a host of graphics options, and customizable controls. There’s even a rewind system (like you’d expect from an emulator). There’s also an “interactive game viewer”, which allows you to fast-forward to any point in the game you like. Which is good in the case of The Lion King, as that game had a well earned reputation for being really fucking hard. They’re also tossing in optional cheat codes if you want to snap the game in half without actually snapping the game in half.

There will also be bonus content, including “interviews, an art gallery and a music player” for both games. All in all, a pretty excellent package, especially since both games will run in modern HD.
