AirConsole games come to more living rooms alongside cringy (and loud) YouTuber filled video

N-Dream AG, creators of the AirConsole, today announced expanded support for SmartTVs (AndroidTV & HTML5) as part of the continued growth of their consumer-friendly cloud-based video game platform.

This enhanced support for SmartTVs means the AirConsole service, which allows consumers to easily enjoy a library of over 100 games, is available to an even wider audience via an ever-expanding list of TV and entertainment providers.

AirConsole boasts a continually growing collection of over 100 first- and third-party games. A wide variety of titles and genres are completely free to play, with more games and additional content available through the inexpensive AirConsole Hero subscription (currently $2.99 /month).

I think the idea behind the AirConsole is fine, but question their marketing. The above trailer is pure cringe and I had to shut it off after the first fake screaming fit by some random YouTuber. Also, the games look like pre-PlayStation 1 era titles and no teenager is going to be that excited about playing them, unless they’ve never seen a video game in their entire life.

And more than a few of these goobers clearly can’t be bothered actually trying to fake enjoyment in-between their partners screaming in their ears about how cool the prototype Fifa 98 game looks and plays, as they shake their phones like they’re having a seizure. Some of the people are even clearly frustrated with how poorly the games play.

Look, I haven’t been in the marketing game for a little while now, but if these are the best clips you can piece together to show how cool your product is, maybe you need to rethink your strategy. Then again, if you paid these people lots of money to shill you gotta try to get some return on your investment.

AHHHHHH!!!!!! Sorry, just had to throw a stupid and needless scream in here to connect with the cool youths of the world. Oh, and AirConsole, if you need some help marketing this stuff feel free to reach out to me because I feel bad about seeing the above video.
