I’m pretty sure this is how many robot uprising stories start.
Do you suck at Overwatch (and other games) like me? Well, there’s an AI tutor to help you get better called Visor. Right now, it only works for Overwatch, but there are plans to add support for other games as time goes on.
Visor gets you back in the game with real-time performance feedback, in-game alerts, and instant match summaries. Stop looking at boring stats. Just play.
Visor examines the entirety of your match in real time (it works like screen recorder software, so nothing that’ll get you in trouble), analyzing over 150,000 data points to figure out why you’re sucking noodles out there.
It takes into account things like the kill feed, you ultimate, abilities and cooldowns, *cough*youraim*cough*, and even audio cues. Then it gives little pop-up tips as you play to remind you to stop doing the things that make you suck at the game. It also offers analytics at the end of the match, with the hope of helping you improve.
There is one caveat to the service, and it’s not price. You need to have a machine capable of running the game in 720p minimum for it to work. Which may or may not be an easy thing for you (or me).
Still, if it can help you improve at Overwatch, and you can run it, maybe give Visor a shot. It’s in open beta now. And, according to the developers, it’s “game agnostic”, so it can quickly be adapted to other games.
