Adults Only Horror Game Agony Unrated Disappears From Steam Libraries

Agony Unrated

Be Gone Thot

Agony, a (horny) game about trying to escape Hell by finding “the Red Goddess”, was released by Madmind Studios in 2018. There was also an Adults only version of the game, titled Agony Unrated, which went from being cancelled to mysteriously showing up on Steam. And now, just as mysteriously, it has disappeared from user’s Steam libraries.

Originally, these users got the game for free simply for owning Agony. but it seems Madmind has figured out the reason for this sudden disappearance: Steam delinked the two games.

A lot of you have been contacting us to report that Agony UNRATED has been removed from your libraries. We looked into it and found out that this is indeed the case and the two versions of the game (Agony and Agony: Unrated) were delinked by Steam.

As most of you know, until now, if you bought Agony you also received a copy of Agony UNRATED in your library. This was always our intended way to do this and that didn’t change. As some of you are also aware, games with themes similar to ours can often face some difficulties on this platform.

Unfortunately, we still don’t have full knowledge on why they were delinked and we’re unable to link the games again using our own tools, so we’re now in contact with Steam support to work out the solution that’ll satisfy everyone.

SteamDB shows that this delinking happened February 16th, for no readily apparent reason. The good news is, Agony Unrated is still available for purchase on the platform. The bad news is, people that previously owned it are now going to have to pony up the cash the buy it again.

Review bombing, still wound up happening, of course. Some users accused Madmind of being behind the whole thing. Which, if we’re being honest, probably isn’t the case. But why use logic when you can go off half-cocked?

Agony Unrated

You know, I didn’t expect to somehow be able to guess what something in Cyrillic says today, but here we are.

Regardless, as of now, Madmind seems to be working towards a resolution. Which is pretty much all you can really hope for.
