Is it just me, or does Street Fighter V look a little too similar to Street Fighter IV (insert random tag here)? While I am aware that fighting games don’t often get massive graphical overhauls, I still think that for a new generation a game should evolve on a visual level, as well as a technical one. Granted the game does look very nice as it stands, and it could be that I’m just tired of the style they used in SFIV after so many releases.
Still, as a fan of the series going back to Street Fighter 2 in the arcades, I am anticipating this release. Well, to be honest I’m waiting for at least the third iteration of Street Fighter V so that I don’t miss out on all the characters they eventually add.
Will Street Fighter V finally get me to buy a PS4? Only time will tell, but the series has my attention. Check out the video below to see how the new V-Gauge meter will work in the game, as well as some of the newly refined bits of the battle system.
