Major League Gaming (MLG), the global leader in eSports and premium video network, today announced the MLG.tv Arena in Columbus, Ohio, a state of the art venue designed to showcase and broadcast competitive gaming year round. Building upon 12+ years running competitive gaming tournaments, the MLG.tv Columbus Arena will complement the ongoing Championship events MLG holds worldwide, the MLG Studio in NYC and the forthcoming MLG Stadium in China slated to open in 2017. The inaugural event at the MLG.tv Columbus Arena will be the MLG Call of Duty: Ghosts Pro League Season 3 Playoffs from October 24-26 where the top eight Call of Duty teams will compete for $75,000 in prizes and a first place prize of $30,000. Spectator passes will go on sale this Friday, September 26 at 5pm ET in the MLG online store and the playoffs will be broadcast live on MLG.tv.

The MLG.tv Columbus Arena is a 14,000 sq. ft venue that will serve as the backdrop for MLG’s premier competitions and will deliver the same exciting experience as a large-scale MLG Pro Circuit event in a more intimate setting. The Arena features bleacher seating for hundreds of spectators to watch in person, sound proof booths for players and teams, a broadcast platform for live commentating, video screens broadcasting the competition, and warm up areas for players. Following the Season 3 Playoffs, the space will host events regularly and serve as the backdrop for MLG.tv programming set in a LIVE show environment. Additional MLG.tv Columbus Arena events will be announced soon and spectator and VIP tickets will be available for future activities.

“MLG’s mission is to promote eSports globally through premier competition and to deliver premium gaming content to viewers anytime, anywhere through our global streaming platform – MLG.tv,” said Sundance DiGiovanni, MLG Co-Founder and CEO. “With the MLG.tv Columbus Arena, we now have a flagship venue built to showcase the best as we continue to expand our global footprint.”
