Katie Holmes, who is still being written about for some reason, is set to direct her first film, All We Had, based on Annie Weatherwax’s novel of the same name. Surprisingly, it’s not about a beautiful startlet’s harrowing escape from a religious cult and her matinee-idol husband, whose twinkling eyes and broad smile hide a terrible secret.
No, All We Had is much more in the Dawson’s Creek vein. Vulture says it’s “about a penniless mother and daughter’s adventures in pre-crash America.” Sounds like something that Susan Sarandon will definitely be in.
