No more picking up the pieces after a table flip.

Board games are, overall, a fairly social thing. Nothing is quite like getting together with some people over a table and ruining your friendships with Monopoly. In which case, the Infinity Game Table might make that a little easier.

The Infinity Game Table is made by Arcade1Up, and they did make it part of their CES 2021 lineup. It got its start as a Kickstarter project, where it got over $1 million in backing. Moreover, they partnered with Hasbro, meaning that in addition to a number of other games, it comes with some of Hasbro’s finest board games.

Now you’d think that it would offer a no frills experience. You’d be wrong in that regard. Pieces are somewhat animate. Your dice rolls might still knock into other pieces on the board. Granted, some games aren’t quite as their physical counterparts are; Operation, for example, substitutes the tweezers for a maze you have to navigate with touch.

But it isn’t all Hasbro offerings. Aside from the expected card and dice staples, as well as Chess and Checkers it has more. They’re also working on implementing games such as Ticket to Ride and Pandemic. There’s even a store for adding more games to the tale. Most intriguing is the fact that, unlike Arcade1Up’s cabinet offerings, they plan on opening this system up to developers to work on new board game concepts. It also features WiFi play for many of its games, which makes getting together during the current situation a little easier; well, provided you both have tables.

The first tables start shipping to backers March this year. Granted, the Infinity Game Table isn’t exactly inexpensive; the base model starts at $600 for a 24″ screen, and the price goes up to $900 for the highest end model.
