Gunlord X getting physical release on Nintendo Switch

Physical releases make us happy

NGDEV, today announced that the jump and shoot game Gunlord X is going to be available for the Nintendo Switch as Physical Edition in May 2020. The Physical Edition will be available as Standard Edition and Limited Edition. The LE contains a fantastic 16-bit style soundtrack, several postcards, and stickers – this edition is strongly limited to #999 pieces.

Gunlord X is a vastly improved port of the critically acclaimed game Gunlord, originally developed for NeoGeo back in 2012. Several new features were added, including a 16:9 mode, new stages, enemies and bosses!

  • Jet Pack action in a horizontal shmup stage!
  • Earn continues by collecting all big diamonds per stage.
  • Autosaving level progression. Finishing a level allows you to restart from the last level you died on.

  • Increased the viewport to support 16:9 widescreen
  • Scanline/RGB CRT TV shader
  • Increased sprite/particle effects
  • Alpha blending special FX
  • Nice parallax scrolling elements
  • Improved controls (direct control over the 360° snake beam with R Stick)
  • Optional modern twin-stick controls (control movement and shooting direction independently)
