Bernie picks up the furry vote

When you win a big award or some sort of tournament, chances are good that you get to make some form of an acceptance speech. Usually, this entails thanking those who helped you get there or shouting out the fans.

In video games, this sort of thing is pretty silly and mostly involves general platitudes or answering silly questions about how good their game was. But Dominique “SonicFox” McLean, who loves wearing a fursuit head out and about, had different plans for his quick time on the mic.

SonicFox really just won the Mortal Kombat world championship, came out in fursuit wrapped in the trans flag, grabbed the mic and said "Vote Bernie"

After winning the Mortal Kombat world championship, SonicFox took to the mic to tell those out there to “vote Bernie” in what might be the first political shoutout in gaming that didn’t result in some form of crazy banning or people losing their jobs.

Also, congrats to SonicFox for winning the whole thing as he’s one heck of a damn good player and from everything I’ve seen and read, a super nice person in a world where gamers still get bad raps.
