CES 2019: The Little Cat is a treadmill for your tubby tabby

Cat Treadmill

The thing I love about CES is that the show is so big you are almost guaranteed to find some really off the wall sorts of tech outside of the main showroom floors. And The Little Cat is sure one of those weird things that only the richest weirdo may want in their ugly looking McMansion.

The Little Cat is a treadmill for you cat, because smart tech had to go somewhere we guess. If you have a fat cat this thing might just get him a bit skinner, that is if he/she uses the damn thing. Hell, I can’t even be bothered to keep on my treadmill at home.

This treadmill works by using an LED light strip running along a circular running surface that look more 2001: A Space Odyssey than practical exercise device for your feline. The thing essentially works like a fancy laser pointer. It’s also huge! Imagine putting a baby on there; now that’s disrupting!

While The Little Cat treadmill was on display the team behind it didn’t have any cats on hand to show it off. Sure, having a bunch of cats running loose at CES is probably some sort of hazard, but chances are getting your cat to get in this thing will be a challenge.

Look, there’s really no reason to own one of these things unless you have so much money you’ve run out of crap to buy, or you hate your cat and are never home to play with them. But if you do snag one at least it looks pretty stylish and would make for a great, albeit expensive, talking point.

At the very least getting your rich friends to donate a few of these things to some local shelters and cat cafe’s would be pretty neat!
