The people at Square Enix today announced that physical copies of Secret of Mana will be available for the PS4 on February 15, 2018. Available in limited quantities, these copies will be available exclusively at GameStop in the United States and EB Games in Canada, and available at all participating retailers in Latin America.
It’s a little weird when Latin America gets the better deal with regards to a huge game like this. But, to be fair, Secret of Mana has no need to be on a disc as the file for the game is probably only a few megabytes, and I can’t imagine the remake, even in 3D, being all that massive to need a Blu-ray disc. Still, I’m a sucker for physical media.
Those who preorder the game will receive special character costumes: “Moogle Suit” for Randi, Primm and Popoi, “Tiger Two-Piece” for Primm and “Tiger Suit” for Randi and Popoi. These are strange for a single-player only game, but GameStop lives off of those pre-orders.
Secret of Mana will be available digitally and physically for the PS4, and digitally for the PSVita and STEAM.
