Playstation Now has Added PS4 Games This Month

You can stream them to a Windows PC, too

Sony’s Playstation Now game streaming service is stepping up their game. They’ve now added PS4 games to the mix. I mean, $100 a year (or $20 every month after the introductory month) is still a lot of money. But it does get you otherwise unrestricted access to over 500 games, and counting. And your hardware really only needs to meet the requirements for the stream, and even a real slug of a PC can probably do the trick. Here’s what you get in North America:

  • Akiba’s Beat
  • Broken Age
  • Castlestorm Definitive Edition
  • Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition
  • Dead Nation Apocalypse
  • Evolve
  • Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky
  • F1 2015
  • God of War 3: Remastered
  • Grim Fandango Remastered
  • Helldivers
  • Killzone Shadow Fall
  • MX vs ATV Supercross Encore
  • Nidhogg
  • Resogun
  • Saint’s Row 4 Re-Elected
  • Super Mega Baseball
  • Tropico 5
  • Ultra Street Fighter 4
  • WWE 2K16

European subscribers, however, get all of the above (minus Akiba’s Beat) as well as an extra 32 PS4 games, including:

  • Air Conflicts: Pacific Carriers
  • Alienation
  • Back To Bed
  • Battle Worlds Kronos
  • Blood Bowl 2
  • Counterspy
  • Day Of The Tentacle Remastered
  • Dungeons II
  • Escape Plan
  • Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture
  • Farming Simulator 15
  • Fluster Cluck
  • Grand Ages: Medieval
  • Hardware: Rivals
  • Heavy Rain
  • Kickbeat Special Edition
  • Legend Of Kay Anniversary
  • Olliolli
  • Pure Chess
  • Pure Hold’em World Poker Championship
  • Pure Pool
  • Q*bert: Rebooted
  • Shadow of the Beast
  • Sherlock Holmes: Crimes And Punishments
  • Stick It To The Man
  • Super Stardust Ultra
  • Tearaway Unfolded
  • The Last Tinker: City of Colors
  • This War Of Mine: The Little Ones
  • Tour De France 2016
  • Velocibox
  • Whispering Willows

Aside from the fact that Europe’s getting more out of the deal, that’s pretty fair. Especially when you consider that the competing Xbox Game Pass actually works out to cost more for a 12 month subscription(Game Pass, $10 a month = $120 a year; PS Now, $20 for a month subscription = $240/year, or 12 month subscription for $100, no idea why anyone would go monthly for that price) for fewer games. Add to that, it’s not a rolling archive (like Game Pass); Playstation Now games are available all the time to subscribers in perpetuity. And while nobody would likely feel that all of those games are their cup of tea, Playstation Now’s still a decent deal overall. Especially if you buy the year’s subscription upfront.
