Top 32 Countries Announced For ‘Overwatch World Cup’

The results are in. The Top 32 countries for the Overwatch World Cup have been selected based on the average competitive skill rating of the top 100 players. Now, players and viewers can vote on their country’s representatives to form their Competition Committee, which is responsible for selecting the strongest team from that nation. The committees will also accompany the national teams that advance to the group stage and finals of the tournament.

Each person gets three votes for their nation’s Competition Committee. You’ll find a list of the committee candidates from all 32 countries attached for your convenience. You can learn more about them and cast your votes on the Overwatch World Cup website.

Voting ends on Friday, May 5, and the committee members will be announced on Monday, May 8.

A series of four live group stage events featuring the Top 32 countries are slated to take place this summer across Europe, North America, and Asia. Each event will see eight national teams (accompanied by their committees) going head to head, with the top two finishers automatically qualifying for the Overwatch World Cup finals at BlizzCon 2017. Additional information about the live events will be available soon.
